If you read my last post, then you may have noticed that I intended to change the theme. Well, that I did. As much as I like the WordPress Plainscape theme, because of it's simplicity, I've been using it in too many places. So much so, I sometimes get confused as to which of my blogs I'm working on.

So… I changed the theme to the Simple CMS Theme For WordPress. PrimoThemes carries a few free WordPress themes, and I intend to use them all in one place or another, plus I have access to their premium themes.

I only made a couple of changes to this particular theme because the theme options panel on the back end takes care of most of the heavy lifting. I'm still moving a few minor things around, but at least I don't have to edit any files to do it.

More than six months ago, I planned to let this blog die a slow death. Since then, I've slowly transferred most of the posts over to other blogs. Some posts were simply deleted.

Not wanting an aged domain to go to waste, I've decided to resuscitate this blog and use it for something completely different. This blog will simply be the head of a blog farm. What's a blog farm? We grow blogs, silly. There will be multiple blogs in this format: blog.ouc1.com

Pattern Interrupt is now in a holding pattern, pun intended. I'm awaiting the final, stable version of WordPress 3 to be released and I'll be collecting a whole bunch of themes to use. The current theme, as much as I like it, is being used way too much, especially by me.

I have multiple blogs that I maintain and this is the one that gets the least attention. The reason is because it isn't focused on any one thing and never has been. Try as I may, I can't bring myself to be enthusiastic about it.

Instead of trying to fool myself into believing I can do something with it, I'm going to let it end and gradually move the good stuff onto the remaining blogs. If you want to see where I'm concentrating my efforts, take a look at these sites:

Untwisted Vortex : The oldest and a personal blog which morphed into something a lot bigger than I expected.

Post Your Own Articles : A new multi-author blog where anyone can become an author.

Coffee, Tea and Me : A blog about my two favorite beverages.

Netbooks, Notebooks and Laptops : The closest thing to a technology blog I can come up with.

VideoTyme : A forum about movies, TV and video hardware and software.

Once everything worthwhile has been moved to one of those, I'll probably put put a forum on this domain to support things mentioned on those blogs. It would be a kind of catch-all forum concerning the things I like to support. Make sense? No? Oh well.
