Arnel Pineda Back in the Philippines
I'm a few days behind. I received the Google Alert for this news item on the 9th. Arnel Pineda arrived at the Manila airport on the evening of October 8th and the video of it was broadcast on the 9th. According to Arnel, he performed 69 shows as the lead singer of Journey before the tour ended. I have no information on when he'll return to the US, but several sources say he'll be here (in the Philippines) long enough to do several concerts with other bands including his former band, "The Zoo".
My wife, over Skype, asked me (jokingly, I hope) when I was going to Manila to see him. I hate traveling in Manila. If he comes to Olongapo, Subic Bay or even Clark, I'll go see him. Otherwise, it isn't happening.

Seriously, it was some years ago when I got stuck with a 24 hour layover at Houston. I don't remember anything though because I was 3 sheets to the wind before we got there. I don't even remember what convenience store we stopped at along the way.
Why do you hate traveling to Manila so much?

I'd love of people waiting for me an airport terminal – hopefully they'll be friendly, or I'll be riunning fast!

I understand why you have a distaste for traveling to Manila. The traffic is horrible plus the endless noise generated by drivers of jeepneys and bus. Why can't they just stop blowing their horns?

Journey are so awesome…I hadn't listened to them in years when they all of a sudden came up on an unrelated station on Pandora (I both love and hate when that happens)
Philippines are great place to be. I wish I had holidays and could go there now
